State Senator Revises Ad Accusing Opponent of White Supremacist Ties
The race for the new State Senate District 24 between incumbent Democrat Monty Mason and Republican challenger Danny Diggs escalated this month with competing negative ads, including one where Mason accused Diggs of meeting with a white supremacist group.
A 10 on Your Side investigation showed that wasn’t exactly true, prompting Mason to revise the ad. However, Diggs did attend a conference hosted by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), which does have ties to white supremacist groups according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
